Industrial floor fan
What is a portable industrial fan used for?
A portable industrial fan isn’t just about comfort: in many environments, it’s a piece of occupational safety equipment. Its function is to renew and circulate air in spaces where natural ventilation doesn’t reach, where gases or fumes are generated, or where high temperatures reduce productivity and increase the risk of heatstroke.
Blizzcool mobile industrial fans are commonly used in:
- Industrial and logistics warehouses: air circulation in large areas to improve thermal comfort throughout the workday.
- Welding and metallurgy workshops: extraction of waste gases and welding fumes, improving air quality at the workstation.
- Warehouses and distribution centers: especially in summer, where maintaining the temperature reduces absenteeism and improves performance.
- Construction sites, tunnels, and confined spaces: air renewal in closed areas where natural ventilation is insufficient or non-existent.
- Garages and mechanical workshops: exhaust gas extraction and air circulation in semi-enclosed spaces.
- Sports facilities and gyms: ventilation of large-volume training areas without the need for fixed installations.
- Tents, events, and fairgrounds: a portable solution that can be moved, positioned, and removed without any construction work.
- Greenhouses and agricultural farms: temperature control and air circulation between crops to reduce fungal diseases.
- Shipbuilding and tunnel repair: forced ventilation in hard-to-reach spaces with high concentrations of particles or gases.
What sets Blizzcool portable fans apart from the competition?
True industrial size. With diameters of up to 2 meters, Blizzcool’s GD models aren’t repurposed domestic fans: they are equipment designed from the ground up to move air in spaces of hundreds or thousands of square meters. The larger the diameter, the greater the airflow and the lower the required rotation speed, which directly translates to quieter and more efficient operation.
Total mobility, zero installation. Industrial wheels allow you to relocate the floor fan in seconds, adapting to changes in the production process, different shifts, or specific ventilation needs. No tools, no electricians, no building permits.
Low consumption, high performance. The BLDC (brushless DC motor) technology of the GD series offers very high airflows with minimal power consumption, well below that of equivalent equipment with conventional motors. Ideal for companies looking to reduce energy costs without sacrificing the industrial ventilation they need.
Long service life without intensive maintenance. Construction with high-resistance materials and the BLDC motor—with no mechanical wear parts—guarantee thousands of hours of operation with minimal maintenance: just periodic cleaning of blades and grilles.
How to choose the right portable industrial fan for your space?
The choice depends mainly on the volume of the space and the type of application. Here is a quick guide:
GD120 (Ø1200 mm) — The entry-level option for the large-format industrial range. Ideal for workshops, large garages, medium warehouses, and events. Perfect when you need maximum mobility in spaces up to 400-600 m².
GD150 (Ø1500 mm) — The balance between power and mobility. Efficiently covers areas between 600 and 1,000 m². The most common choice for medium-sized industrial warehouses, logistics centers, and indoor sports spaces.
GD200 (Ø2000 mm) — The maximum power of the series. For large warehouses, heavy logistics centers, production facilities, and spaces where you need to move the largest volume of air possible from a single unit. Covers areas of over 1,000 m².

Frequently asked questions about portable industrial fans
How much airflow do I need to ventilate my warehouse or workshop?
As a reference, between 6 and 10 air changes per hour are recommended in industrial spaces. To calculate it, multiply the volume of your space (length × width × height in meters) by the number of changes. For example, a 500 m² warehouse with a height of 7 m has a volume of 3,500 m³. For 8 changes/hour, you would need 28,000 m³/h, covered by one or more GD models working together. Contact us and we’ll do the calculation for you.
Can a portable industrial fan be used outdoors?
Yes, as long as the conditions don’t involve direct and prolonged exposure to heavy rain. For outdoor use with the possibility of precipitation, check the IP protection of the specific model with our technical team.
How much does a Blizzcool portable industrial fan consume?
The GD series uses low-consumption BLDC technology. Unlike industrial fans with conventional motors, the brushless DC motor consumes significantly less energy for the same airflow, reducing long-term operating costs.
Are Blizzcool mobile fans difficult to move?
No. The industrial wheel system allows the equipment to be moved across warehouse floors, concrete, or asphalt effortlessly, even by a single person. The design is intended to make relocation quick and non-disruptive to the workflow.
What maintenance do they require?
Maintenance is minimal: periodic cleaning of blades and grilles to prevent industrial dust buildup, and a visual inspection of the structure. The BLDC motor has no brushes or mechanical wear parts, which eliminates the most common maintenance tasks for conventional motors.
